The aim of the Foundation is to promote research projects on Léon Tutundjian’s work and on the artistic and cultural context in which it is embedded.

Its activity in this field primarily consists of developing links with art historians, academics, directors and curators of museums conducting research projects both in France and abroad. Partnerships with research organizations and foundations are being considered.

The Tutundjian Foundation’s ambition is also to initiate a conference programme and set up a research grant and support for publication.

A first conference was held in January 2019 in partnership with the Bullukian Foundation in Lyon. Art historian Guitemie Maldonado presented Tutundjian’s work to an audience of professionals and amateurs at the launch of the Bullukian Foundation’s new art centre.
